… with us you can enjoy the luxury of exclusivity. Our team focuses only on you and your guests, no one else will bother you. Agricultural, natural, cultural and sporting programmes are available at the venue. We can also take care of all of the administrative formalities you require, for both national or international participants.

Find the right workshop space...

You rent our workshop spaces so that the location becomes part of your programme: whether outside in the courtyard, the grounds, the horse paddock, the Acker, the adjacent fields, the grove, the tractor hall, the catacombs, the rustic seed barn, the stables, the Seminaire, the Galerie, the rustic granary or even directly and exclusively with the lord of the manner or in the kitchen with the chef. A variety of alternatives exist to give flight to unusual ideas no matter if there are two, twenty or two hundred people!

Enjoy the tranquillity of nature in Mannheim?

Nestling in a landscape conservation area, our event venue in Strassenheim is in the heart of a green oasis just outside Mannheim. For your guests, this means leaving behind the hectic pace of everyday normality, stepping off the familiar hamster wheel, being drawn out of their comfort zone, and slowing down so as to become receptive to new thoughts. Let yourself get involved with the natural, the original and the real and uncomplicated weather-dependent happenings every day here with us on the estate. Concentrate on your five senses: taste, smell, hearing, touch and sight- and learn by engaging and understanding!

Workshop spaces outdoors:

Outside, the rooms are complemented by:

Surrounded by nature, we have been practicing sustainable farming on our farm in Mannheim for generations, with the goal of preserving our farm for the long term and adapting it to the prevailing climate and available resources. We apply this philosophy to all our conferences. Upon request, we offer you an authentic experience of nature and agriculture. We’d also be happy to provide you with ideas for sustainable, rustic professional or promotional events to complement the program during your conference in Mannheim.

The spacious, landscaped courtyard and surrounding areas offer a total of 3,000 square meters of space—ideal, for example, for outdoor exhibitions or open-air events.

You have access to the seed barn, the tractor shed, the old vaulted wine cellar (catacombs), the manor house with its meeting room, as well as the paddocks and the estate garden.

The adjacent fields, farmlands, and meadows offer additional opportunities to take activities outdoors and actively incorporate nature into your program.

The nearby St. Magdalene Chapel offers a special place for inspiration and tranquility. Free parking right in front of the courtyard gate also makes it easy for your guests to arrive and depart.

Special creative workshops
here in Mannheim-Straßenheim

Gain hands-on experience with nature and apply it to your daily business life through “hands-on farming,” field trips, and seasonal hands-on workshops in the fields—whether in rubber boots or barefoot, you’ll find and experience new ideas with us: planting your own vegetable garden, raising chickens, exploring berries, discovering the animal and soil worlds, but also learning calmness and serenity from the farmer, making decisions, self-motivation, discipline, and self-control, painting and drawing, making wreaths, macramé weaving, photography, singing, and dancing (e.g., ballroom, square dance, Platteln, tap dance), field jogging, tai chi, and yoga, making natural remedies yourself, as well as cooking and baking with our chef de cuisine.
Being creative together, laughing together, and having achieved something tangible by the end of the day is a sense of accomplishment for everyone. There are virtually no limits to our ideas for creative workshops in nature and in a peaceful setting. We would be happy to work with you to find the right content for your target group.

Indoor Workshop spaces:

We offer 8 rooms ranging from 14 to 180 square meters across two floors. All rooms feature natural daylight, fresh air circulation, excellent acoustics, and access to the landscaped courtyard, which you are welcome to use during breaks and other times. When all rooms are in use, the entire building can accommodate workshops for up to 200 participants.

How much notice must I give to book a workshop room?

We welcome any guest who wants to get creative and is looking for an inspiring workshop space surrounded by nature—whether for artistic purposes or for your business.
We recommend booking your workshop space up to one year in advance. However, even at short notice—up to 7 days before your date—there is occasionally still the possibility of renting a space from us. Based on your request, we’ll put together a personalized selection of spaces for you, ideally during a personal tour where we can get to know each other—and you can get to know our spaces. It’s all very personal, because we want you to find the right space for you and for your participants to feel right at home with us!

out here in the countryside

The Seminar

The Seminaire is a workshop space that leaves nothing to be desired. It is designed almost like a sound box: wooden beams and hardwood floors create natural acoustics and a unique atmosphere. Here, we prefer to keep the audiovisual equipment to a minimum. Most choose to create a “Wi-Fi-free zone” for the benefit of their participants. This room is the perfect size for workshops with 4 to 30 people.

The Galery

The gallery on the upper floor is accessible via a wide, old wooden staircase. Its open foyer can be used as a break room, particularly in conjunction with the adjacent seminar room. The view through the windows looks out onto the green courtyard. In the past, grain was stored here, among other things. Historical agricultural artifacts still bear witness to this today. Larger workshops for 30–120 people can be held here, even in smaller groups.

The Biblotéque

The Bibliothèque is a quiet space and, located directly above the salons, is particularly well-suited for small workshops of 2 to 12 people, such as those held on the sidelines of a larger event. Through the gable windows, you can look out over the landscape all the way to the Odenwald. If you’re in need of inspiration, we’d be happy to open a shelf for you containing a selection of exquisite, partly historical documents.

The old horse stables

Écurie 1-2, “the old stables,” are fully accessible, wheelchair-accessible, and can be darkened, including the coatroom and restroom. Large glass double doors provide direct access to the courtyard. The rustic columned vaulted ceiling and traces of days gone by give a sense of how carefully the horses used in farming were once cared for here. The rooms are suitable for workshops with 4–100 people.
